
Mr. Cashman has been a long time supporter of law enforcement in Maine. He is
succeeded by his three sons, all of whom are serving in the law enforcement
community from municipal to federal levels.
In his memory the Maine Police Emerald Society along with the Cashman Family will
select one student to distribute annually a scholarship to who currently is in a
post-secondary education program who aspires to join the field of law enforcement
upon graduation or a high school senior who plans to move on to the
next level of education in a law enforcement related program of study. The award will
be given in the amount of $500.00,
To qualify for this scholarship the student must meet and provide proof of the follwing
conditions:
1. A Student graduating from a Maine High School or attending a Maine College or
University
2. Must be enrolled full time in a course of study where law enforcement is the primary
focus.

they pertain to law enforcement. Also include why it is that you want to pursue a law
enforcement career.
